Successfully completed the NAVSPACE-H Project, whose primary objective was to support the development of a fully Italian sensor for space applications.
The program enabled the development of a hemispherical resonator gyroscope (HRG) sensor suitable for satellites and launchers.
The HRG technology developed by NG Italia is entirely ITAR-free and meets the needs of private companies and space agencies requiring high-performance sensors.
The project involved several partners, including Northrop Grumman Italia, ASI, the Hypatia Research Consortium, ENEA, and Gelco S.p.A., each contributing specific expertise to the development and characterization of the device. The activities of each partner were successfully completed, achieving the project’s objectives.
The project was part of the initiatives proposed by the “LAerospaZIO” consortium and funded by the Lazio Region.
