FOG & MEMS IMU

Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs), developed by Northrop Grumman Italia, are the latest in applied technology and utilize state-of-the-art fiber-optic inertial gyroscopes and MEMS.

Highly flexible sensors and IMUs, which meet a number of specific requirements (weight, size, accuracy, etc.) are also used for other military applications, including platform stabilization, parachute stabilization, image/camera stabilization, targeting systems, navigation and guidance of micro aerial vehicles (MAVs) or guided munitions (e.g. guided bombs).

Future applications include transport (both automotive and maritime) or emergency and security in combination with GNSS positioning system receivers.
