Role overview

We are a company specialized in Integrated Navigation Systems part of a multi-industry leader on high-technology, advanced electronics and defense systems operating through its facilities all around the world.

We’re looking for a Process Technology Engineer to join our company.

In this role, you will be responsible for representing the Process Technology organization towards the ING/IPT/PROD functions, with the role of designing, developing and implementing “agile” processes (accurate, reliable, flexible) to meet business needs and market priorities, applying Design for Manufacturing and Lean principles.
The role also involves evaluations and analyses of existing processes, with the aim of identifying improvements in methods, times and costs.

The position is located in Pomezia (RM).

Main Responsibilities

· Monitor and analyze process performance metrics, such as cycle time, yield, and scrap rate, and develop strategies to meet or exceed goals

· Create process trend and KPI reports

· Provide technical assistance and expertise to resolve process issues and improve Overall Effectiveness (OEE)

· Support the design/development activities of existing production equipment and the re-engineering of production flows

· Support and manage (for the aspect of competence) the maintenance and updating of information present within the IT infrastructures serving manufacturing (e.g. tracking systems, Shop Floor control, MdP, Machine Programming and assembly plans)

· Issue technical documentation, Work Instructions and Procedures that regulate the use of equipment by training operational personnel

· Contribute to the Technical Offer drafting process through feasibility studies and cost estimates relating to your area of ​​expertise and evaluation of impacted processes

· Identify and propose new equipment aimed at improving processes in NGI for medium-term plans (Capital) or necessary to support new acquisitions (PPO)

· Define and release all process parameters, drive validation activities including set up, machine and inspection control files according to IPC Standards and NGI Process Regulations

· Identify and Analyze issues related to production processes (Yield)

· Ensure product manufacturability and verify acceptability against process requirements during New Product Introduction

· Perform internal and supplier process audits

· Perform periodic validation of “special” production processes according to NGI and/or EN9100 and/or customer regulatory requirements

· Conduct detailed analyses and evaluations of existing production processes, identifying areas for improvement (in terms of efficiency, effectiveness and product quality) and proposing appropriate solutions, with the aim of implementing and validating them

· Study and Validate Special Processes in Manufacturing

· Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), control plans and work instructions

· Collaborate with Procurement in the selection of suppliers in the identification of new technologies, solutions, equipment compliant with EHS and Quality regulations

Education

· Industrial Expert Diploma (electronic or electrotechnical)

· Bachelor’s and/or specialist degree in technical/scientific discipline (Electronic, mechanical, mechatronic, management Engineering / Business economics and management)

Experience

· At least 2 years of experience in managing production lines in manufacturing contexts (assembly and welding)

· 5 years of experience in production (Avionics) with only a Diploma

Technical skills

Lean Manufacturing/Production Principles (Continuous Improvement, Oee)

· Knowledge of manufacturing production processes (Electronics field)

· Green Belt Certification (Statistical Analysis, Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping)

· IPC Certifications (JSTD-001, JSTD 7711/7721, A-610)

· Three-dimensional (Solidworks) and two-dimensional CAD design

· Knowledge of quality management systems, such as ISO 9100-9001 standards, regulatory standards, risk assessment

· Knowledge of automation and process control systems.

· SW for Gerber and ODB++ file processing

· MS office / SAP
