Northrop Grumman Italia has been specializing throughout its history in the development and production of high-precision navigation systems for high-level national and allied military programs, such as the LINS and FINS system for the Eurofighter aircraft.

The unique ability to combine state-of-the-art laser ring gyroscopes and fiber-optic gyroscopes with expertise in tailoring the system to specific customer requirements has become a hallmark of Northrop Grumman Italia’s navigation solutions.

Northrop Grumman Italia’s navigation solutions are also available for markets subject to ITAR restrictions.

EFINS

The EFINS system is a compact navigation system composed of an Inertial Sensor Assembly (ISA), a processor, a power supply, an adaptable front panel, and a frame that provides superior performance for navigation, sensor targeting geo-localization, and synthetic aperture radar stabilization.

The EFINS is based on a modular concept consisting of two separate frames, the Inertial Sensor Assembly (ISA) and the Electronic Assembly Compartment. It is currently in production for the Eurofighter program and used on all Typhoon aircraft

MNSU-E

The MNSU-E is a compact navigation system consisting of an embedded SAASM GPS receiver, processors, power supply and an interface with an Antenna Electronic System (AEU).

It provides superior performance for navigation, geo-localization for sensor targeting and synthetic aperture radar stabilization.

The system hosts an INS/GPS navigation platform that integrates inertial data from an external IMU (FINS-E) with GPS data from an embedded SAASM receiver, providing a high-precision INS/GPS hybrid navigation and GPS-only solution.

Currently in production for the Eurofighter program.
